Just your typical Hibachi place. The salad is one of the better menu option with a delicious ginger dressing. The yum yum sauce is good too.

Sakura is a cherry blossom; a symbol of cycles that remind us of the shortness of life. They rain according to their season, in the same way we live according to our captured moments. There's something rebirthing about the vibrancy of its short life, that reminds us to watch the vibrancy in our own. A second child is often a blessed one. They miss the heartaches learned the hard way through the first. This not so subtle example of eastern philosophy is a reminder that a sequel can be distinct from the original. This one is in spirit. There is an animating energy of kindness, acceptance, and eagerness in the people that are Sakura 2. They're fun and talented Hibachi chefs. They're new and old servers glad to express hospitality to friends, whom others may call customers. They're a warm and comfortable environment where kindness is a heart beat, and we all are eager to beat along with IT. This spiritual energy is further exemplified by the food. Their chefs are able to make sea food, far from the sea, taste well prepared. Their Hibachi has flavor and their cooks deliver it every time. A cherry blossom's life is short, but thankfully our times here never have to be. Each reunion of family here, equals a captured moment of vibrant life; that is, time here is equal to feeling and seeing the cherry blossoms rain.

The previous reviews gave me pause about trying this place, but I met some girlfriends who wanted to go. Two of us have never been there before but my girlfriend was a regular. I got there first and was greeted and seated immediately. The service was great, the sushi was top- notch, and the drinks were made very well. When my friend, who is a regular got there, she was greeted by name, seated, and immediately brought her favorite drink. It was nice to know that the owner makes it a point to know people in the community and the regulars. It appears they had many reservations for the hibachi, and other guests seemed to really enjoy it. That will be something we return to try. The restaurant and bathroom were very clean. The ambiance was very relaxing as well. I will definitely return. Try the Mexican roll and the plum wine. Everything was DELICIOUS

Came here while visiting Kalamazoo. The outside is unassuming- I thought it would be small. The inside is fairly large, nicely decorated, and clean. It was busy but we didn't wait too long with no reservation. The service was friendly and good. The hibachi show was impressive, though there's not much audience interaction, that was ok with me. Prices are very reasonable, and you get a good amount of food. I had a Mai Tai for my drink. It has been a long time since I've found a good Mai Tai, and this was the best I've had in years. Food was fresh and tasty. Definitely a place to check out.

Finally trying thier Bento box!! I truly enjoyed it The portion was huge and enough to have left over to take home for a good price! Everything was delicious.
